The Kenan Fellows Program for Teacher Leadership has revealed the 25 North Carolina public school educators awarded 2018-19 fellowships. View announcement. The K-12 teachers were selected from a highly-qualified applicant pool of more than 70 educators following a competitive application process. This summer, the 2018-19 Kenan Fellows will spend at least three weeks interning with local experts in agriculture, scientific research, energy, high-tech manufacturing, and other STEM fields. Each Kenan Fellow also receives a $5,000 stipend and gets to participate in 80 hours of professional development. Congratulations to this year's Kenan Fellows!. Please enjoy your e-Update. FIRST North Carolina teams achieve in Texas
|
|
FIRST North Carolina sent 22 teams to the FIRST Championship in Houston in April. These teams included 2 FIRST LEGO League Jr. teams (K-4), 2 FIRST LEGO League teams (grades 4-8), 2 FIRST Tech Challenge teams (grades 7-12) and 14 FIRST Robotics Competition teams (grades 9-12). Between them, they earned 12 awards and strengthened enthusiasm for pursuing STEM careers.
