The North Carolina Alliance for School Leadership Development (NCASLD) and the North Carolina School Superintendents’ Association (NCSSA) recognized four education leaders this month to receive the inaugural Dr. Samuel Houston Leadership Award. Speaking of events, the NC Science Festival kicks off next month (April), and the NC STEM Center has more than 600 STEM Opportunities currently listed in the portal. Use the “Find” feature on the site and locate events that you might find interesting near you during the annual festival. For example, STEMville Science Symposium at the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center is a wonderful opportunity for children to explore different types of STEM careers! Check it out.
