Applications are open for SSEP grant awards

Burroughs Wellcome Fund has opened applications for the 2018 Student STEM Enrichment Program (SSEP) grant awards. The SSEP supports diverse programs with a common goal: to enable primary and secondary students to participate in creative, hands-on STEM activities for K-12 students and pursue inquiry-based exploration in North Carolina. These awards provide up to $60,000 per year for three years. Since the program's inception in 1996, BWF has awarded 201 grants totaling $33.7 million to 103 organizations that reach more than 43,000 North Carolina students. Only electronic applications will be accepted no later than 4 p.m. EDT April 18. Please review SSEP's Request for Proposals for complete eligibility requirements. You also can view the FAQ page for additional information. If your question is not answered after reviewing the FAQs, please email Melanie Scott with "2018 SSEP" as the subject line. Please enjoy your NC STEM e-Update. Tweet us @NCSTEM with suggestions, feedback or thoughts about this issue or future ones.
