NC STEM Center e-Update

NC STEM Center offers educator
resources to get you ready for back to school

The NC Stem Center is a Web Portal for all things related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in North Carolina. Over the years several collaborators have helped develop a comprehensive list of STEM Attributes for schools in our state. These attributes – a checklist of characteristics that are hallmarks of programmatic quality in STEM education – are based on local, state and national research and public feedback from 125 different practitioners, educators, and business leaders. These attributes also have been adopted by the N.C. State Board of Education and will serve as the standard measure of quality STEM programs in North Carolina. Along with the STEM Attributes, STEM Implementation Rubrics are available to assist schools or programs in learning the steps necessary to be a quality STEM school or program: offered in levels for Elementary, Middle School, and High School. If you haven't visited in awhile, stop on by and say hi as educators all across the state get ready to get back to school for the fall. Enjoy your e-Update!
